One of the things the PhotoPills community does regularly is take trips to various locations around the globe to scenic places in order to get that lifetime shot of the moon, galaxies, meteors, northern or southern lights and so on. And they have just let me know the latest to be planned is to the South Island of New Zealand, and is slated for June / July of 2025.
(If you are not aware of PhotoPills and you are a photographer, shame on you! Get all the info here)
From June 22nd to July 4th 2025, Daniel Murray and Andy Marty (PhotoPills Masters) will be traveling across New Zealand’s South Island to photograph the winter’s Golden Light and the majestic Milky Way along with some of the treasures hidden in this southern hemisphere paradise
Where nature’s majesty meets the soul!
The plan is to photograph the winter’s Golden Light and the Milky Way with iconic trees, strange rock formations, infinite waterfalls, lonely wild beaches, isolated fjords, endless glaciers, immense snow-capped peaks, lush rainforests, rugged coastlines, hidden turquoise lakes, picturesque churches and maybe one of the rarest penguins on the planet!
