I think it could be said that USB hubs are like London buses. You don’t see one for ages and three appear all at once.
Hot on the heels of the Belkin and Verbatim hubs I have reviewed, now one comes from RØDE and it somewhat ups the ante a little, especially if you have a lot of USB-C devices.
Whereas both the Verbatim and Belkin hubs have 2 USB-C ports, the RØDE model has no less than six, and each of these has 10Gbps and passthrough 60W for power and recharging. There is also a 5Gbps USB-A port too as well as a pair of UHS-II card readers.
It even comes with a pair of USB cables to connect to a computer (Mac OS or Windows) and when you feel the hub in your hand, it feels solid, not made of plastic but a metal alloy.
What more can you say, it is a device that does exactly as it says on the tin. Youi couldn’t ask for better.

Keen Pricing Too
It pips the Belkin hub on price at $260 v $280 (although the Verbatim with more USB-A slots as well as HDMI ports and a pair of card readers easily sneaks in at $135.
For me, the RØDE unit is the better bet though simply due to the extra USB-C ports although admittedly, at a pinch you could go and get some USB-A to USB-C adaptors for the Verbatim hub and save a few dollars.
You can get more info and order at the RØDE website and for now at least, shipping is free throughout Australia..
