Canon joins top chefs at OzHarvest fundraiser Community CookOff

Hey its not really a “creative” story, but it is for a good cause so…

Leaders from Canon including Luke Clark (CEO, Canon Business Services), Raj Khetia (General Manager, Managed Services, Canon Business Services), Nina Spannari (General Manager, Marketing & Customer Experience, Canon Oceania), and Kylie Church (General Manager, Corporate Communications, Canon Oceania) will be cooking up a storm to help feed people in need at OzHarvest’s flagship fundraiser, Community CookOff on Monday 22 May 2023.

Team Canon will be joining top chefs at ARIA in Sydney, to prepare a gourmet dinner for guests from charities that receive OzHarvest food.

“Our Kyosei corporate philosophy of living and working together for the common good informs everything we do at Canon. Complimenting OzHarvest’s mission of sharing food with dignity and respect to those in need has made this partnership and community initiative a natural fit,” said Kotaro Fukushima, Managing Director, Canon Oceania.

“Making an impact together, we feel privileged to be able to support OzHarvest through this year’s Community CookOff, raising vital funds and bringing local communities together.”

OzHarvest Founder and CEO, Ronni Kahn AO says the need for food relief has hit an all-time high, with the cost of living replacing the pandemic as main reason people are food insecure.

“More people than ever need our help, the charities we support cannot meet the consistently high level of demand and we still have 600 charities on our waiting list for food.”

“The Community CookOff brings so many communities together to connect over great food at the same time as raising valuable funds to help keep our wheels turning. If you’re looking for a way to re-engage your team with purpose and fun, this is it!” said Ronni.

Canon Oceania’s fundraising goal is $40,000, contributing toward OzHarvest’s $2.5 million goal. The funds raised will help OzHarvest provide an additional five million meals to those who need it most.
