RØDE has announced the return of its Creator of the Year Awards. Building on the success of last year the awards are designed to recognise and reward the world’s most inspiring talent across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other leading platforms.
“Creativity is part of RØDE’s DNA, so it’s only natural that we celebrate those who use our products to bring their vision to life,” said RØDE CEO, Damien Wilson. “Last year, we were blown away by the incredible talent from every corner of the globe. This year, we are excited to build on that legacy, providing a platform to amplify the voices of the next generation.“
Awards & Prizes
This year’s competition introduces a refined structure with 18 award categories, including three major awards and 15 Spotlight Awards. Entrants will compete for a share in over $200,000 in cash and prizes, supported by leading creative and technology partners including Mackie, Canon UK, Nothing, Nanlite, Lectrosonics, Urth, Notion, Artlist, Pelican, SanDisk, espresso Displays, and Miller.
The major awards include:
- Creator of the Year – The top honour recognising outstanding talent and exceptional cultural impact comes with a US$25,000 cash prize and a major prize pack.
- Emerging Creator of the Year – Celebrating the next generation of talent, specifically those new to the scene, with US$10,000 in cash and a major prize pack.
- People’s Choice – The most popular creator as chosen by voters, rewarded with US$10,000 in cash and a major prize pack.
In addition, 15 Spotlight Awards will be handed out, designed to recognise excellence and originality across a spectrum of creative disciplines to be revealed when the finalists are announced. Each recipient of a Spotlight Award will receive a US$5,000 cash prize and a minor prize pack.
All shortlisted entries and winners will be chosen by RØDE’s global judging team, with the exception
of the People’s Choice Award, which will be decided by public vote. Voters will also have the chance to win 1 of 10 exclusive Voter Prize Packs that will be given out at the conclusion of the competition.
How to Enter
Entering the awards is simple and designed to be accessible for all creators. To participate, creators can visit creatorawards.rode.com and complete the submission form before the deadline on October 30.
Entrants will need to provide a link to their own nominated channel on a platform of their choosing that best represents their work. The RØDE judging panel will then review all submissions and place shortlisted entries into the most appropriate categories for consideration.
All shortlisted entrants will also receive a RØDE Creator Pack, including merchandise, gear, and an official certificate of recognition.
If a creator is successfully shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award, community voting for these finalists will run from November 6 until November 19, with winners for all categories being revealed through the Creator of the Year website on November 20.
