A LOT of people get confused about DaVinci Resolve, and there is a lot of disinformation out there about this subject.
Some (including me) say that the free version – available for Mac, Windows and LINUX – is more than enough for most users. A small number of people see fit to dispute this, suggesting it is “heavily crippled”.
I was going to put together a video showing the differences between the two, thus letting you make up your own mind as to whether the free version will do what you need, or to get that sort of functionality, you need to spend the AUD$495 (USD$295) to get the full Studio version.
But why reinvent the wheel? There is a perfectly good video already available explaining this.
PS: A great way to buy the full version is to get the Speed Editor bundle, and then you get the console (shown above) as well.
