A new DJI OSMO 360° is imminent – as soon as Thursday even, according to my spies.
Called the DJI OSMO 360 II, specifications that have either been confirmed or leaked at this stage include:
- User-replaceable lenses — addressing the original’s biggest weakness against the Insta360 X5 and GoPro Max 2
- A larger 2150mAh battery, up from 1950mAh — roughly a 10% increase — plus 27W USB-C fast charging
- A 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with a redesigned optical system, expected to support 8K/60fps video, 6K60p, and 120MP stills
- Leaks also suggest around 105GB of internal storage
It’s interesting timing with Insta360’s X6 also expected this week with 8K recording, 10 bit colour and enhanced low light performance, so lovers of 360° photography and video will have a serious choice to make.
