There are any number of applications around to “fix” dodgy audio. Think MAGIX Sound Forge, Adobe Audition and the free app Audacity for starters. And there is a multitude of plugins for specialist tasks such as the very excellent Izotope products (which I love).
Now as an aside, some of the very best plugins, not necessarily audio based are from long time developer BorisFX (and I have been using these since forever). Examples are Continuum, Sapphire, MochaPro, Silhouette, Particle illusion and the biggie, BorisFX Suite.
Now the company has broadened into audio with CrumplePop.
Now I am the first to say the name does not grab me; but hey if it works… To quote the company, “CrumplePop’s advanced AI-drive audio restoration plugins are here to eliminate audio pops, echoes, traffic, wind, and more.”
It’s fair to say this probably covers a fair percentage of issues the average person might get – vloggers, podcasters, short film makers and so on. Watch the video and see for yourself.

I am hoping to get a review version shortly, and soon as I do and have had a play, I’ll report back.
