Blackmagic PYXIS 12K
Blackmagic PYXIS 12K is a new digital film camera that combines the high end URSA Cine 12K RGBW sensor with the PYXIS design. That gives you an extremely high end camera in a compact body that’s easy to rig. The design has new electronics with higher speed processing and 10G Ethernet. It also includes the other Blackmagic PYXIS features such as Blackmagic Cloud sync and real time proxy generation, plus all the Blackmagic PYXIS accessories work with it!
There are 3 models of Blackmagic PYXIS 12K for L-Mount, PL or locking EF mount lenses.
The new Blackmagic PYXIS 12K will be available in July for US$4,995. Excluding duty and tax.
We also recently introduced a body only version of URSA Cine 17K that is designed to work with film industry accessories you already own. This makes it easy to create your own camera rig. This camera is amazing to shoot with because it has the large format 65mm sensor and 16 stops of dynamic range.
It features a native resolution of 17520 x 8040 but you can shoot in lower resolutions such as 8K at 100fps at 8K, even while still using the full 65mm sensor area. Imagine shooting for giant IMAX style screens and then cropping out the center of the frame for delivering to cinema and television.
The body only model of camera still includes a PL lens mount, plus you can change the mount for other lens types. It also includes an 8TB media module. Plus it records into Blackmagic RAW and syncs to Blackmagic Cloud with real time HD proxies, even when recording 17K!

Even though our ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K switcher is large with 40 inputs, people needed more, so we introduced an even larger switcher! The new model is called ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus and it has 80 standards converted 12G-SDI inputs and 48 independent 12G-SDI outputs. It’s a 4 rack unit design.
Otherwise all the other features are the same as the standard ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K, but it just has twice as many inputs and outputs. Although it does have a larger audio mixer with more MADI inputs and it has redundant Ethernet control ports. It’s an amazing switcher.
The new ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus will be available in June for US$12,995. Excluding duty and tax.
At the show we launched a new model of our ATEM Mini. The new ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 is a massively updated model with a lot of high end features. We designed this new model to include all the high end features people had asked for. So it’s a much higher end model.
It has an upgraded keyboard with better buttons. It also has balanced microphone inputs with combo XLR/jack connectors and a headphone socket. Additionally, it has a massively upgraded audio mixer with a new Fairlight audio status page so you can see all your audio processing on the one screen. It also has 3 independent HDMI outputs!
But the most exciting feature is built in Thunderbolt. With this single connection you can play back video with fill and key, while simultaneously capturing input video. Plus the Thunderbolt acts as a network connection into the switcher so you can access the ISO media files while they are being recorded. The Thunderbolt also trickle charges a connected laptop.
What this means is you can use DaVinci Resolve for a full live action replay system. We introduced replay into DaVinci Resolve’s cut page last year and it’s become very popular. Now everything you need is built into the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2!
The new ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 will be available in late June for US$1,995. Excluding duty and tax.
Another new live production product we introduced is the ATEM Micro Camera Panel. It’s a single channel affordable camera control panel with high end broadcast CCU controls. It works with all ATEM switchers because it connects to ATEM Software Control via USB or Bluetooth. It even has a built in battery.
It has a nice, large joystick for camera iris control and pedestal. Plus there are other controls for shutter, white balance, master gain, RGB balance and more. Along the side it has 8 buttons so you can select between cameras as you work. All from the single panel!
The new ATEM Micro Camera Panel will be available in May for US$595. Excluding duty and tax.
HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro is a new media player and recorder. The design includes a large 7 inch touch screen as well as physical controls so it’s great for search through lots of media quickly. The 7-inch LCD touchscreen is also great for monitoring and it has built in scopes!
HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro features 12G-SDI and HDMI and it records and plays Apple ProRes, DNx, H.264 and H.265 files in all video standards up to 2160p60. It also has 10G Ethernet and an optional internal M.2 media, so this means HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro is more than a recorder as it’s also network storage! That means you can share media with editors and colorists on your network, however because it also syncs to Blackmagic Cloud, you can share media with editors working remotely anywhere in the world.
The new HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro will be available in June for US$1,495. Excluding duty and tax. We will also have one available with storage pre installed, and this HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro 2TB model will be US$1,895.
We had a lot of big updates for streaming at the show. We announced new Blackmagic Cloud features for live streaming. This includes stream routing where you can share streams to multiple destinations and an ATEM Constellation switcher.
One of the problems with creating point to point streaming links in broadcast is you need special internet setups and fixed IP addresses. Blackmagic Cloud now makes it easy to create point to point streaming links because the encoders, cameras, switchers and decoders now just log into Blackmagic Cloud. It’s very easy to use. It’s just like a Videohub router.
We also renamed our Blackmagic Web Presenters to Blackmagic Streaming Encoders. Web Presenter was a confusing name so it’s simple now.
We also introduced a new decoder. It’s called Blackmagic Streaming Decoder and it supports decoding SRT streams in H.264 or H.265 back to 12G-SDI and HDMI. It works in all HD and Ultra HD video standards up to 2160p60. It also has a reference input that’s 12G-SDI so it can be connected to an ATEM switcher and then send back to the streaming encoder or camera full tally and camera control. It even works via Blackmagic Cloud. So you can control a remote camera’s lens and color corrector!
The new Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K will be available in June from US$675. Excluding duty and tax.
We also announced Blackmagic Videohub Mini 12G, a family of very small 12G-SDI routers for use in broadcast trucks or portable racks. Anywhere that you have very limited space.
They are available in 3 models and different sizes. There is a 4×2 at ⅓ rack width, a 6×2 at ½ rack width and a 8×4 model at ⅔ rack width. They all use the universal rack shelf but they also work on the desktop. They work in any SD, HD and Ultra HD video standard. There are also patch connections on the front panel and a USB-C webcam output.
The new Blackmagic Videohub Mini 12G is available now starting from US$595. Excluding duty and tax.

It’s great for live production and broadcast as it has 2110 IP video, 12G-SDI, and HDMI video connections all on the same unit! The video processing is very high quality and it supports converting between all SD, HD, and Ultra HD video standards, even if they are different frame rates. The front panel includes a built in LCD display for monitoring, plus a speaker and headphone connection. The LCD also has menus for the video standard and then any input video will just be converted to that video standard. The USB port on the front panel even works as an HD webcam!
The new Blackmagic 2110 IP UpDownCross 12G will be available in May for US$545. Excluding duty and tax.
We also announced two new 2110 IP converter models at the show. They are designed to let you use OLED TVs for color accurate monitoring, such as in color grading and edit suites. Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G will convert 2110 IP video or 12G-SDI video to HDMI in SD, HD and Ultra HD. It also has analog XLR audio outputs for driving powered speakers. This means it has variable gain with a knob on the front panel or a remote volume control. There’s even a delay setting so you can adjust for any processing delay in the TV, so you get perfect AV sync
The converter also has 3D LUTs for color calibrating displays. There are two models of the converter. One has 2 channels of XLR analog audio output, while the other model has 10 XLR analog audio outputs so you can set up surround sound audio monitoring.
The new Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G will be available in May from US$495. Excluding duty and tax.
DeckLink IP 100G is a new PCIe Gen 4 card which can capture and playback up to 8 channels of Ultra HD video simultaneously into 2110 IP systems.
