No-one can say Pink Floyd was / is nothing but creative. Disbanded now (sort of) due to the death of keyboardist Rick Wright (and Roger Waters left 40 years ago) leaving only guitarist Dave Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason, the band occasional reappears as they did for the song Hey Hey Rise Up in support of Ukraine.
However, Nick Mason (who inc identally is the ONLY constant member of the original band) has also ben busy, forming a band called A Saucerful of Secrets, named Pink Floyd’s second album. His plan for the band was to revive Pink Floyd’s pre-The Dark Side Of The Moon material, much of which had not been played live on stage in decades.
And yay! It has just been announced the band will be touring Australia later this year, playing in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth (sorry Adelaide).
