Premiere mobile adds music from UMG and WMG

Music has the power to turn an everyday moment into an unforgettable story. It’s the beat behind a viral trend, the track to a favorite memory, and the spark that inspires you to pick up your phone and start creating. For millions of you, inspiration starts with music.

Today, we’re announcing that we’re working with Universal Music Group (UMG) and Warner Music Group (WMG) to bring fully licensed music clips from leading artists directly into Adobe Premiere mobile.

By combining music from two of the world’s leading music companies with Premiere mobile’s pro-level video editing tools, we’re making it easier for you to discover the tracks you love, shape your video around the music, and then share your stories — all in one free app.

More music, more ways to create

With music from UMG and WMG integrated directly into Premiere mobile, you’ll be able to create videos around the songs that inspire you, right from the first cut. Whether you’re jumping on the latest trend or creating something entirely new, you’ll have more ways to bring your creative vision to life. And with popular music as the backdrop for your videos, the partnerships open even more opportunities for artists and songwriters to reach new audiences.

“Music has always been a powerful way for people to express themselves and connect with others. By bringing licensed music from UMG artists into Adobe Premiere mobile, we’re giving creators new ways to build their stories around the songs they love for the first time, while helping our artists and songwriters reach new audiences,” said Bryan Stone, SVP, Business Development at Universal Music Group.

“The way people experience and engage with music extends far beyond traditional listening platforms,” said Rachel Scarpati, VP, Digital Strategy and Business Development, WMG. “Our partnership with Adobe Premiere mobile integrates WMG’s catalog directly into the creative process, opening up new possibilities for creative expression and deeper fan engagement.”

Create videos that move to the music

Here’s what you’ll be able to do in Premiere mobile with these new features, coming soon:

  • Find the right track, faster: Browse, search and preview trending music by artist or track, filter by genre and duration, bookmark favorites and explore popular music through label-featured collections.
  • Build your edit to the music: Add up to 60 seconds of a popular track directly to your video.
  • Create with music-powered templates: Jump-start an edit with customizable templates paired with music, bringing the track and visual story together from the beginning.
  • Share across platforms: Export finished videos in Premiere mobile and post to your favorite licensed social platforms.

You can also take advantage of Premiere mobile’s powerful editing capabilities, including professional-quality video tools, studio-quality audio tools like Enhance Audio to reduce distracting background noise and Adobe Firefly-powered AI features to generate unique creative assets.

Music from UMG and WMG is coming soon to Premiere mobile, with tracks licensed for personal, non-commercial use. For projects that require commercially licensed music, you can continue to access Adobe Stock Audio.

Together, these capabilities bring the power and precision of Adobe’s industry-leading video technology to your fingertips, making it easier to turn everyday moments into extraordinary stories.
