Free Upgrade for Sennheiser Profile Wireless Mics

I have waxed lyrical many times over the Sennheiser Profile Wireless Mics, especially the multi-talented two channel version that doubles up as a handheld.

Today Sennheiser announced a firmware upgrade letting both the single and two channel models take advantage of Bluetooth connectivity to smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.

It’s a free upgrade and can be downloaded from here.

One thing to be aware of though; as stated by Sennheiser, “this upgrade will provide creators with good audio quality and latency for any recording where ease of use and compactness are paramount. With a Bluetooth Classic connection, broad compatibility to smart devices and laptops is given but users will have to sacrifice some of the quality that the future-proof Bluetooth LE Audio offers today”.
