If that market wasn’t already crowded enough, more normally known for its lighting solutions, Amaran has released a microphone.
It’s a dynamic supercardoid type supporting both USB-C and wireless with a broadcast range of around 50 metres in wireless mode.
The sampling rate is a respectable 48kHz, frequency ranges from 40Hz to 16KHz and it sports a gain adjustment of 0dB to 49dB.
The bit depth is 24bit, so not up there with the 32bits as supported by the likes of Sennheiser, RØDE etc, but at $99 its priced accordingly and aimed at creators recording livestreams, podcasts, and everyday video creation from a desk.
I am not sure of any Australian resellers as yet (the distie for Amaran is Sydney based Kayell), but you can buy it online at Amaran’s website.
Oh an its available in either charcoal or white.
